NY will have to face the facts on education
Our public schools are the most expensive in the nation and there is a fiscal cliff coming
I hope you are all enjoying time with family and loved ones. Our family spent much time playing board games, eating, and reading.
Here is my op-ed on the NY Post about the fiscal cliff facing NYC public schools and the inevitable difficult choices the Mayor will have to make. We are losing $556 million in federal pandemic relief, kindergarten enrollment is down 17%, and the district has lost 130,000 in the past few years. An adjustment is inevitable. The question is how the budget will be cut.
