Danyela Souza Egorov
Danyela Souza Egorov is an entrepreneur, education policy expert, and advocate for school choice and families. She has deep professional experience in business, government, and nonprofits, with a focus on strategy, advocacy, and management. Danyela has worked at NY Charter Schools Association, Families for Excellent Schools, California Charter Schools Association, New Leaders, and Boston Public Schools.
Danyela started her career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co., has a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and was the Founding Board Chair of Brooklyn RISE Charter School and co-founder of the NYS Charter Parent Council.
She is currently co-founder of Families 4 New York, Project Director for ParentPowered NY, and Vice-President of New York City Community Education Council (CEC) for District 2 (Manhattan).
Her articles and op-eds have been published in the NY Post, City Journal, and NY Sun. She had multiple TV appearances at Fox & Friends and Lawrence Jones Cross Country.
Danyela is passionate about supporting educators who are creating great schools for the most vulnerable children. She has worked on opening 12 charter and district schools. Danyela grew up in Brazil and lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.
