I know that with assassination attempts, wars around the world, and inflation, it is hard for the media and the country to pay attention to education. But our kids' learning can't remain invisible in this presidential campaign! Who will make our kids' education visible before we vote in November?

More symbolic of a broken system are the children of parents who are waiting to become permanent. Often called, ‘Documented Dreamers,’ these are children who came to the US when very young and while their parents wait for greencards they end up deported when they turn 21.

Why would Governor Hochul not sign a bill to enable the Dyslexia Task Force? Is it because she fears educated citizens? Or parents who will then demand that their child be provided a free and appropriate education?
